Special Creations 2026: Elements of Existence

Born deep within the Earth

Elements of Existence is this year's Special Creations collection from Shamballa Jewels, presented by Creative Director Mads Kornerup. It grows out of his long fascination with rough diamonds, and above all with their natural surface, what he calls the diamond's 'skin'.

That skin still carries the story of the Earth. Pressure, darkness, movement and an almost unimaginable amount of time have all left their traces on it.

Over the past year, Mads and his diamond cutter experimented with cutting and polishing parts of each diamond while deliberately leaving parts of its natural skin untouched.

From darkness to light

Across the collection, raw surfaces, natural inclusions and organic colors meet refined craftsmanship. Each piece explores a different expression of existence: vision, light, oneness, transformation, earth, stillness, fire, awakening, creation, time and the path within.

Together they tell one story, the journey from earth to awareness, from darkness to light, from matter to meaning. Like the diamond, we too are shaped by time, pressure and transformation. A diamond is not beautiful because it escapes darkness, but because it carries the story of having passed through it.
